CLARC Mailing List Page

This is the starting point for adding, removing  your name or updating your email address on CLARC's many mailing lists.

Note: To use this capability you must first be be a registered user of the website and then you must be logged in.

The original CLARC mailing lists have been recreated on this CLARC website, but you will not be automatically added to the new mailing lists.   You MUST add yourself to the mailing lists manually on the new CLARC website and you must register on the new CLARC website to be able to add yourself to a mailing list.

How do I register on the new CLARC website and then add myself to a mailing list?

  1. Go to the home page of the new CLARC website.
  2. In the upper right hand corner you will see Username and below that you see Remember Me and below that you see Register. Click on Register.
  3. Fill out the registration form. Be sure to use your callsign in uppercase as your username. If you do not have a callsign enter None.  Note that only fields with an exclamation mark in a yellow circle to the right of the field are required fields. The security code ensures you a real person and not an automated web-bot.
  4. Go to your email's inbox and confirm your registration by clicking on the link in the automated email sent from the website to you.
  5. If you are properly registered, when the website has successfully moved to its new location you will be sent email telling you how to add yourself to the new mailing lists. If you can can login to the new website you are properly registered.
  6. Return to this page and click on Administer My Mailing lists.

Why is this being done? The new CLARC website brings a lot of benefits to CLARC and it's members. One of the advantages is that you can control your mailing list membership from an easy to use control panel.  For this to work properly, you have to be registered on the new CLARC website.

We appreciate our list members and want them to continue to be list members but this was required to allow the new website to move from it's current location to its permanent home of www.clarc.org

Couldn't have this been automated?
Unfortunately, no.  Because the current mailing lists do not have all of the info required to register you as a user. The CLARC website committee and CLARC officers considered many different options and this really was the best and most efficient way to get this done.

Does this mean I have to join CLARC? No, not at all.  Although we would love to count you as a dues paying member and we always appreciate your financial support of the club (its only $20/yr) and a great value for everything that CLARC offers you. You don't have to join the Clear Lake Amateur Radio Club (CLARC) to register at the this website or to receive emails from any of the mailing lists.
